Welcome to my updated art and design website!
I finally have my own domain name. Hopefully everyone can still find this new location for my website. I am slowly redoing the website in WordPress. This will make it easier for me to keep it up to date. More photos and content will be added as I have time.
Like many artists, I have a number of creative outlets. I do craftwork, fine art, and graphic design. While it takes many forms, all of my work is about celebrating the natural world and its inhabitants. To see my more scientific projects, check out WesternCascades.com.

News
Last year’s Audubon Society of Portland’s annual Wild Arts Festival was very successful, and I plan to be there again this year. For more information about the art fair, visit http://wildartsfestival.org. My hands are mostly healed from my overuse problems, but I am limiting the amount of sewing I do to keep them from becoming too sore again. Last year, I was practically sold out by December, so please order early if you’d like to receive bird ornaments by the holiday season.

Bird Ornaments
These are individually hand-sewn and hand-painted felt ornaments of US native birds (although an occasional exotic does sneak in.)
Fine Art
I paint in watercolor, colored pencil, and a combination of the two. Blank greeting cards are available in many designs. Original paintings are available as well. I’ll add those to the website soon.
Photography
Photography is another passion. I take photos of plants and scenery for my book on the Western Cascades flora and for more artistic purposes. Some of these are also available as greeting cards.
Graphic Design
My graphic work includes newsletters, logos, T-shirt designs, business cards, interpretive signs, brochures, and other types of computer design and illustration.
Jewelry
At the moment I am making twisted wire and bead earrings out of non-tarnishing silver- and gold-plated and copper wire. Hopefully I’ll have some time to try necklaces in the coming year.
