Graphic Design and Illustration

I’ve been doing graphic design and desktop publishing since 1987. That was back in the early days of the Macintosh, and I’m still a devoted Mac user. I was never good at cut and paste, so it took the advent of the personal computer to allow me to decide on a career of graphic design as well as traditional painting. I’ve mostly worked with non-profits, specializing in natural history subjects. Here’s a sampling of some of my work.

T-Shirts

Most of these T-Shirt Designs were created directly in Freehand, a now defunct drawing program similar to Adobe Illustrator. Thankfully, Adobe Illustrator can still open my old files! Most of these were limited editions and are no longer available for sale. The Acmon Blue t-shirt is available through the local NABA chapter at http://www.naba.org/chapters/nabaes/products.html.

Interpretive Signs

These signs were designed and painted in Photoshop. They reside at Mount Pisgah Arboretum in Eugene, Oregon

Coloring Posters

These were designed for Fuzzy Coloring Posters made by Western Graphics. I don\'t think the company is still in business.
